On 8 October I joined colleagues at the University of Johannesburg and Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation (IPATC) for the launch of the book: “The African Union and Agenda 2063: The past, present and future” edited by Khabele MATLOSA and Adeoye Akinola, PhD.
I contributed a chapter on “The African Union and It’s Pan-African Agenda.”
My main message at the launch was based on the proverb: “When the bush is on fire, the chameleon must abandon the walking styles of the ancestors. “
In the context of Africa, it means that we must abandon old, slow habits and methods to survive. We want to thrive, and be prosperous. So, out with business as usual, including at individual level.
