We must write our own history. When I was writing my first book: “Future Africa-Prospects for Democracy and Development Under NEPAD”, I had the pleasure of interviewing former Mozambican President H.E Joaquim Chissano.
He stands as one of the African leaders whose wisdom propelled the NEPAD vision, building a foundation that would enable NEPAD to “…reclaim the right of the African people to determine their own development path, select their own priorities and sequence them in a manner that reflected their own assessment of threats and opportunities.”
We must look back in order to move forward.
